Vehicle Data for Tour Permits

Please remember to bring your vehicle data for out Tour Permit Data Base. (You can also send it to me vial email).  We do not use it for any purpose other than to include you in the BSA liability coverage for Troop outings when you agree to drive.
Owner(s); Year; Make/Model; # Passengers w/ seat belts; Drivers License -- State and Number; Insurance;  Each Person, Each Accident and Property Damage.
           

Adult Training

The following dates and classes are available.

Scoutmaster/Asst Scoutmaster Leader Specific (SMLS)

(Three -- three hour sessions)  All are from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Memorial Hospital Admin Building (Not the Hospital) , 2420 Pikes Peak Avenue

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS)

Friday, 19 May (6:00 PM) until Sun, 21 May approximately 2:00 PM Departure.  B-52 Campground at the USAF Academy.
 
The above three classes, NLE, SMLS and IOLS are required to be certified as either a Scoutmaster or an Assistant Scoutmaster and to wear the "Trained" Patch on the Adult uniform.
 
All the above require pre-registration at Pike Peak Council -- Contact John Combs for more information.

                                   
Scoutmaster Minute

New (Old) Troop Uniform Policy - Effective 06 March 2006, to participate in Scoutmaster Conferences and/or Boards of Review, the minimum uniform for a Troop 1 Scout will be a complete and current Boy Scout Field Shirt (Tan) -- with all the individual awards, unit and BSA patches* affixed properly (preferably neatly sewn).  In addition, the appropriate scarf (Green BSA for Scout and Tenderfoot SM Conferences/BORs) and Troop 1 Scarf (Second Class and Higher) -- with a BSA or other slide (not tied in a knot or with a rubber band) worn.  Finally, for Scouts with over 6 Merit Badges " the MB Sash" with all earned MBs affixed - will be worn over the shoulder (never on the belt).  
 
* Examples of Individual awards, unit and BSA patches, are but are not limited to:
         
Left Sleeve - Pikes Peak Council Patch, 65 Veteran Unit Bar, Numeral 1, Current Badge of Office with Trained Patch.  When worn - they all touch. If not in a leadership position -- former Badge of Office and Trained Patch are removed.  
 
Right Sleeve -- USA Flag (on uniform when purchased), Current Quality Unit (QU) Award (only one) is worn ( from the top of seam to top of QU Patch).  Current Patrol Patch centered between US Flag and QU Award.
 
Left Pocket --Above Pocket on the seam - Cloth Knots - (for almost all Scouts - this would be the Purple Religious Knot -- when earned) and World Crest above the Left Pocket (on uniform when purchased). Centered on pocket - Current Rank. Below pocket - Arrow of Light Award.  
 
Right Pocket -- Above Pocket - BSA Strip (on uniform when purchased). On Pocket Flap - OA Pocket Flap (OA Members when elected and complete OA Ordeal Weekend). Centered on Packet - One temporary Patch (Camporee, Good Turn for America, etc), either hung from button (suggested) or sewed on.  For 2005 National Jamboree attendees -- 2005 Jamboree Patch above the BSA Strip or Interpreter Strip as appropriate.
 
Other components of the Official Uniform that are highly encouraged for all ranks but are expected for an Eagle Scout SM Conferences, Eagle Boards of Review and Eagle Courts of Honor are:
